Introduction

The archbishopric celebrates the 850-year-old Jubilee. On this occasion, we created a picture-book that shows the games of lights, so wanted by the Gothic builders. These scenes can be found out and admired when visiting throughout the year. In such a book, the images size limited of course. Thanks to new digital photographic technologies, you are allowed to see, study and admire both the whole and the details of a façade, a portal, a stained-glass window or a sculpture on a single image. You can move, point and enlarge the elements to get closer to the smallest detail. Carved scenes, statues, faces, gestures and facial expressions become individual or intimate encounters. Let us be told of Bible scenes great artists have created, and discover the spiritual messages of the Middle Ages, which, as well as novels and plays, transcend all times, including ours.
